This manual covers the measurement of tritium, a radioactive isotope of hydrogen, by liquid scintillation for water, air, and biological samples. The main revisions include the addition of the uncertainty required for proficiency tests such as intercomparison analysis between analytical laboratories and the calculation of detection limits, etc., based on ISO 11929. In addition, although the main focus is on methods for analyzing tritium in environmental samples under normal conditions, a wide range of related information and literature is also included for applications to other purpose of analysis, such as rapid analysis.
