The 2002 revised edition of the manual that specifies the uranium analysis method for the environmental monitoring around nuclear facilities such as nuclear fuel fabrication plants, nuclear power plants, and nuclear fuel reprocessing plants. It was published in 1982 and the first revised edition was released in 1996. In this 2002 revised edition, the ion exchange method, iron hydroxide coprecipitation method, and ICP mass spectrometry were newly adopted, and obsolete analysis methods were deleted.
